Trond Berg
My name is Trond Berg and I am 33 years old. I grew up in a little village called Ytre Enebakk, just on the eastern border of Oslo, the Norwegian capital.
In 1992, I started at the University of Oslo hoping to become a marin biologist. After 5-6 months though, I realised that I did not enjoy the course. I figured out that I wanted to do something creative and ended up doing three years of graphic design at Oppegård upper secondary school. After my graduation in 1996, it was time to do the compulsory military service and I spent 9 months in the northern parts of Norway. The next summer, I tried to apply for jobs as a graphic designer, but there was hardly any jobs going and I began working as a teacher helping children with learning disabilities.
Then, in 1998, I started at the University of Central England, Birmingham. I graduated in June 2001, with a First Class BA(Hons) in Visual Communication, with web design as my specialism.
After my graduation, I worked as a freelance web designer for about 6 months, until I was offered a full-time position as a Design Manager at Xlibris, a small Birmingham based Internet Consultancy. I worked for Xlibris for more than 2 years, which gave me an excellent background and experience in managing projects, producing web designs and supervising web developments.
Moving on from Xlibris, I started as a Web Designer & Developer at a new company called Mediascope, which is where I am currently working. My new role is similar to the old one, but with more opportunities to up my technical skills.
However, I am keen to progress to a larger organisation where I can stretch myself to my full potential, and thereby contributing and helping you to create a successful team.
If you are looking to recruit a professional web designer / developer, then please contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
